John Cole at Balloon Juice, talking to secular Republicans who've allied themselves with the religious right for years but are now freaked out by the rise of Huckabee:

...are the evangelicals going to support Romney or Giuliani if you do manage to trash Huckabee enough to secure the nomination for them? Will the eye for an eye crowd learn to forgive and forget?

I'll answer in that in three words: Hillary Rodham Clinton.

The alternate answer is also three words: Barack Hussein Obama.

In other words, maybe the fundies will take their ball and go home, but don't count on it.
