Oh, dear:

President George W. Bush fell ill with a mild stomach ailment this morning at the Group of Eight summit in Germany, forcing him to skip some morning meetings before resuming his schedule this afternoon.

...The ailment was "some sort of bug, probably more viral in nature, and highly unlikely to be related to food," White House Counselor Dan Bartlett said. "After having an opportunity to rest, he feels rejuvenated."

...The president, who began feeling ill after getting dressed, was able to keep a early appointment with French President Nicolas Sarkozy, who came to the hotel....

Would it be irresponsible to speculate?

It would be irresponsible not to.

UPDATE: Wow, they're being really nasty about Bush's illness at Liberty Post -- a right-wing site ("I hope he has late stage Aids and dies"; "Did he choke on his amnesty bill?"). LP is an imitation Free Republic, but the conservatism is of the Ron Paul variety -- a lot of people at LP are against the war, and they really hate immigrants. Oh, they have a picture of Bush drinking:

The brew, however, is identified as non-alcoholic Buckler. (An irresponsible person would, of course, wonder if the president took great pains to have himself photographed drinking a non-alcoholic brew precisely because he's really drinking again, as a way of throwing the media off the scent. That's what an irresponsible person would wonder -- not me, of course.)
