Maybe this was just meant as a standard-issue man-bites-dog tabloid story, but I think Murdoch's point beyond that is Barack Obama's contempt for the Iraq War doesn't square with reality. But somehow I don't think that's how it's going to be read:
Even Post readers might recall the point Obama made in Tuesday's debate:
We're spending $10 billion a month in Iraq at a time when the Iraqis have a $79 billion surplus, $79 billion.
And, of course, they also might be thinking that this is the "victory" the old guy at the debate kept talking about -- and wondering why they're supposed to be so happy about it.
