We have to get to the bottom of this. Thank God Dick Cheney still has five days to waterboard some geese.

UPDATE: Everyone apparently escaped.

But meanwhile, right-wing resentment junkies are declaring an "Obama miracle" so they can hate us for thinking Obama is a miracle worker. What the hell is wrong with these people?

Jules Crittenden:

Obama saved the people on that plane. I am convinced of it. It was the miracle of Obama. I see it now. We live in a time of miracles....

It is an uplifting grace. He has even raised himself up from a Lazarus-like catatonic state and is about to become animated....

Ace of Spades:

It's time to call this what it is -- the first of Obama's many coming miracles.

Some will say "But he wasn't in NYC."

He's everywhere. Anywhere a heart open to love and hope exists, so too does Obama.

Maybe this is the future of the American right: expanding on a non-reality-based presidency, they're just going to build a complete non-reality based movement. Even the snark will be based on fantasy: they'll attack Obama for policies he isn't actually pursuing (oh, wait, they've already started to do that) and they'll bash lefty bloggers for opinions we don't actually hold. Eventually they'll try to get Obama impeached for a high crime or misdemeanor he hasn't actually committed, while railing against him for failing to protect us from a terrorist attack that didn't actually take place. It's the next logical step, no?
