I just wandered over to 59th and 5th, site of one of Manhattan's Reagan Vigils, and absolutely no one was paying attention to it.
Not that there was much to pay attention to -- just a posterboard sign with a photo of Reagan accompanied by the handwritten words NEW YORK REMEMBER, plus two flags and a bag of jellybeans, tucked into the gras in the little park across from the Plaza Hotel and the Bergdorf Goodman building. No one seemed to be minding the sign.
Obviously New York City hates America. Then again, that area's full of tourists, so maybe America hates America. Or the world -- maybe the world just hates freedom.
