BECAUSE WHEN YOU THINK "PALIN" YOU THINK "CHASTITY," RIGHT?
The Manchester Union Leader reports:
YES, SHE'LL BE HERE. Sarah Palin is making plans to be in New Hampshire on Thursday evening.
The Granite Status has learned that Palin's staff has reached out to a number of New Hampshire Republicans for a clambake on New Hampshire's Seacoast.
Kevin Smith, executive director of the conservative issues group Cornerstone Action, confirmed tonight, "I received a call from one of Sarah Palin's staffers asking whether I would be available for a clambake tomorrow (Thursday) evening on the Seacoast."
... We've also learned that among the other Republicans invited were Shannon McGinley, chair of Cornerstone Action, and Jennifer Horn, founder of the conservative non-profit issues advocacy group, "We the People," which happens to be the phrase on the side of Palin's "One Nation" tour bus....
So what do we know about Cornerstone Action? Well, this is some of what Wikipedia tells us:
Cornerstone Policy Research and its legislative action arm Cornerstone Action are a conservative think tank headquartered and primarily active in the U.S. state of New Hampshire....
In 2008 one author positioned CPR in a national list of state organizations that "work to persuasively present biblical principles in the centers of influence on issues relating to the family." ...
[In] 2004 then-Executive-Director Karen Testerman wrote in an article entitled "Promiscuous Plague" that sexually transmitted diseases are "encouraged by a message of 'safe sex' and an adult population that acts as if self-control and traditional morality are outdated and without value." ...
In 2010 Kevin Smith spoke in opposition to New Hampshire legislative action to repeal a law making adultery a criminal offense. After passage of the law CPR sought to amend the repeal measure to specify that adultery was still a civil offense and grounds for divorce....
More:
Kevin Smith, executive director of Cornerstone Action, a conservative think tank in New Hampshire, said the state should not take a laissez-faire attitude toward infidelity....
"If you think a broken family doesn't cost taxpayers, think again," Smith said. "It is the state's concern if more families dissolve because of the costs."
Gee, I wonder if Bristol will be at the clambake.
Oh, and what about Jennifer Horn and that We the People group? Well, you can go to jenniferhorn.org to find out more (Bin Laden -- Horn's against him! and unions are evil, too!) -- but then there's this:
The son of influential conservative activist Jennifer Horn was arrested and charged with marijuana possession and under aged transport of alcohol while driving in Ashland Saturday.
Thomas Horn, 18, of Nashua was traveling with two teenage friends from Manchester when state police stopped him on Interstate 93 about 11 p.m., police records show.
Police said they charged Horn with minor transporting alcohol, a violation-level offense, and misdemeanor marijuana possession. Passengers Robert Hoaglund and Callan Leonard, both 18 of Manchester, each are charged with marijuana possession, police said....
Well, perhaps that will give Horn and Palin something to talk about.

Also:
Cornerstone is an ultraconservative organization that flaunts its close relationship with national groups like the Alliance Defense Fund, the Family Research Council, CitizenLink, and the National Organization for Marriage. In fact, Cornerstone worked with NOM to run ads attacking the governor for signing the state's marriage equality law and is collaborating with NOM and the FRC to repeal the law. Good As You notes that Cornerstone also endorses the discredited "ex-gay" therapy groups such as Exodus International, Love Won Out, PFOX, and the National Association for Research and Therapy of Homosexuality (NARTH).
