Sunday:
The White House press corps is expressing frustration over its lack of access this weekend to President Obama, who was on a golfing vacation in Florida.
Ed Henry, the Fox News correspondent and president of the White House Correspondents Association, released a statement Sunday evening in which he said the press corps had been given no access to the president, who was joined on his outing by star golfer Tiger Woods, and that the WHCA would fight for greater transparency in the days ahead.
"Speaking on behalf of the White House Correspondents Association, I can say a broad cross section of our members from print, radio, online and TV have today expressed extreme frustration to me about having absolutely no access to the President of the United States this entire weekend," Henry said in a statement, relayed in a White House pool report....
Today, from Ed Henry's employer (linking, ultimately, to this):
No, there is nothing you can say or do that will make these people be reasonable. The goal is the maximum number of grievances.

They're like a party of Jason's.
You thought they were dead after Watergate - and along came Reagan.
You thought for sure their shutting down the government, and impeaching Clinton over oral sex, would surely doom them in 2000 - and then along came W.
And surely now, after the two stupid wars and occupations, and a financial freefall that was worse than anything since the Great Depression, and the massive failure of Romney/Ryan, they're surely DOA now!
No.
Because they always were able to find some wedge issue to get peoples fear and hatred of "the other" up.
Granted, is seems like those wedge issues are becoming less and less seen as true wedge issues, but it'll take at least a decade or more for the old white generation to die-off. But it's not like they're not breeding replacements - just less of them.
So, yeah, there's still a good chance that if they don't blow the economy up in the next few months, or are somehow able to pin the disaster on Obama and the Democrats, they could still win future national elections. That's why they're spending so much time on the message and the messenger, and not on policy and political changes.
Never underestimate the number of stupid, ignorant, racist, misogynistic, xenophobic, and/or homophobic, people there are in this country.
And Republicans will try to find the sweet-spot to get them all to come out and vote for them, in 2014 and 2016.
And if they win all 3 branches of government, they'll tweak election laws like they gerrymandered themselves into safe Congressional seats.
The still want power - ALL OF IT!!!
And they've still got a small window of opportunity to get it.
