As much fun as the right-wingers are having right now with all this Swift boat stuff, there's an undercurrent of apprehension. The New York Post editorial page says,
Frankly, it's not at all clear where the allegations will lead politically, particularly if Kerry can refute them.
And Rush's brother says,
Part of me -- the cautious and pragmatic part -- wishes that this would just go away. After all, this could easily backfire and make Republicans look desperate and petty.
The rest of what's in these articles is the usual confident bluster, but it's interesting that the Post and David Limbaugh believe they need to go on record now expressing some skepticism about the Swift boat Kerry-haters' allegations and tactics.
