After Hillary Clinton gave a speech this weekend at the Saban Forum, The New Yorker's David Remnick wrote naively:
She proceeded to give a serious, sturdy speech of a certain kind; if not quite AIPAC-ready, it was a speech extremely careful not to ruffle anyone's delicate feelings or becloud her last days as secretary of state. She asked of Israel only that it show more "generosity" to the Palestinians.
You think that won't ruffle anyone's delicate feathers, David? Let me introduce you to the right-wing media:

Ben Shapiro at (via Fox Nation):

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has never been a friend to Israel. Today, speaking at the 2012 Saban Forum on US-Israel Relations, a liberal organization, she railed against Israel for supposed insensitivity, lack of empathy, and lack of generosity with regard to the Palestinians -- even as the Palestinians unilaterally violated all agreements with Israel and attempted to declare statehood, and within days of Hamas firing rockets on Israeli population centers and bombing a bus....
Gregg Re at the Daily Caller:
Hillary Clinton: Israel has 'lack of generosity ... lack of empathy' for Palestinians

Speaking at a forum at the Saban Center for Middle East Policy in Washington on Friday, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Israel is suspicious of Palestinians and doesn’t care enough about their plight....
Pam Geller at Atlas Shrugs:

The headline may appear off, but it is not. It's the same thing. Hillary is demanding that Jews empathize with their annihilationists....
If this is on the front page of tomorrow's New York Post, I won't be surprised.

It doesn't matter that, as Remnick notes,
Clinton only prodded Israel gently, but was quicker to poke the Palestinians. "The Palestinians could have had a state as old as I am, in 1947," she said, during a short question-and-answer session. And then she spoke, without any complicating details, about how Bill Clinton and Ehud Barak offered a comprehensive deal to Arafat in 2000 and how Ehud Olmert did the same to Mahmoud Abbas.
The right-wing media will seize any opportunity and use any weapon to harm those it wishes to destroy. It's Hillary's time again. From the '08 primary season until this year's Election Day, the right-wing suspended its anti-Clinton war because the Clintons seemed to have value as a stick to beat Barack Obama with, but that's over now. It's time to do to Hillary what's been done to Obama for four years -- or, rather, to do to her what was done to her and her husband from 1992 until Obama seized the lead in '08. It's quite possible that the right won't be able to destroy her if Remnick is right and she really is planning to run for president in 2016, but it won't be for lack of trying.

She is too pro-Israeli for me.

Considerably more so than O.

What we call 'back to bashing Hillary,' they call their comfort zone.

If she decides to run, there'll be any number of Republican Congressmen out in fields, shooting watermelons, pig heads, and water balloons, trying to relink her to the late Vince Foster.
