IS PALIN AS UNINFORMED ABOUT POP CULTURE AS SHE IS ABOUT POLITICS?
I didn't want to post anything about Sarah Palin's Today show appearance this morning, but I couldn't help noticing this in the Politico recap:
Asked if she had seen the movie "Game Change" -- based on the book John Heilemann and Mark Halperin that takes a close look at Palin's struggles as the VP candidate -- she answered, "I didn't see the movie and I wouldn't waste my time seeing the movie. I didn’t see 'Game Change,' no, because I don't want to waste my time," before adding, "But I do have to admit that Tina Fey has been pretty clever."
Does she literally not know that she's played in Game Change by Julianne Moore, not Tina Fey?
****
I was also struck by this in the Politico story:
But as fans of the show gathered outside at Rockefeller Center holding up posters and cheering in front of the cameras, Palin showed off a strikingly different personality than her usual serious self on Fox News.
Dear Politico: I don't think the word "serious" means what you think it means.

Palin's brain holds a very few items. One is that Tina Fey made fun of her on TV. When asked about a movie critical of her, she reacts instinctively ("I wouldn't waste my time") then adds "uh.. Tina Fey something" because "movie" triggered "TV". Close enough.
Ask her about North Korea and she'd respond "communists... Putin... See Russia from my porch.. Obama's failed socialist policies...something.". That's as good as her brain gets.
