THIS IS HOW YOU DO IT

Wow, there's nothing coy or cute or indirect about this ad, and clearly no handwringing about who's a "distraction" prevented the making of the ad, so, needless to say, it's not from the Obama campaign:

I'm probably going to drive all of you away with my endless kvetching about this, but somebody has to create a Palin counternarrative or Palin will beat Obama (and I mean that literally).

It will air in a "targeted buy" in the Toledo and Dayton, OH, markets, spokeswoman Jessica Brand said. She added that they plan to scale it up in Ohio and in other swing states later, but didn't immediately have a dollar figure.

I may send a check. More like this, please, If the Obama team won't do it, outside groups are going to have to step in.

****

Incidentally, Alaskans themselves have voted twice to ban this practice, only to be overruled by legislators. A third attempt to ban the practice went down to defeat a couple of weeks ago; our frugal spendthrift penny-pinching possible future vice president spent $400,000 of taxpayer money to help defeat the amendment. Alaska critics say the aerial hunters are mostly thrill-seeking out-of-state tourists.
