IMAGINE HOW MUCH TROUBLE WE MIGHT BE IN IF TRUMP AND HIS FANS WEREN'T COWARDS (updated)

There was a pre-January 6 gathering of Trumpers today in D.C. At least one attendee wanted you to think he was a warrior ... of a certain kind:

Meanwhile, at the pro-Trump message board thedonald.win, one poster wants you to know that he has his weapons ready for tomorrow ... but he's leaving them at his hotel in Virginia because he's afraid D.C. is serious about its gun ban (it is).

Others on the board seem a bit puzzled.
Why did you bring your guns if they are just staying in the hotel?

[his response:] hoping not to need them they are a contigency, plenty of other items on hand for anything other than all out...well you know. the escalation is up to the BLM/ Police

You might be dead before you get to your “contingency.”

You'll need guns to get back to your guns.
These folks really do think they're putting themselves at mortal risk just by setting foot in a big city:

And then there's Donald Trump. AP tells us that he'll address tomorrow's rally, confirming a Breitbart story from a couple of days ago. Breitbart told us:
President Donald Trump and a list of other high-profile speakers will address “Stop the Steal” protesters on Wednesday, Jan. 6, ahead of an effort by some congressional Republicans to challenge the certification of President-elect Joe Biden’s electoral college victory....

...The official program will begin around 9 a.m., and ... will be capped by Trump’s speech beginning around 11 a.m. When the president finishes his remarks, organizers then will lead a march up to the U.S. Capitol where they are expected to arrive around 1 p.m.—the time during which the new Congress, which is being sworn in on Sunday, will consider certification of the electoral college results.
Trump speeches these days tend to go on for an hour and a half; presumably he'll speak and the crowd will head for the Capitol immediately afterward.

An authoritarian with a minimal level of physical courage might lead this crowd straight into the Capitol Building -- he's the president of the United States, who could stop him? -- and they'd seize control of the proceedings while he declared himself president for four more years, or for life.

But can you imagine Donald Trump doing something like that? So much Trump fan art depicts him as a powerful man of action -- but he'd never do anything of the sort.

And I guess we're lucky he wouldn't. Imagine if he and the clowns above were really willing to put their asses on the line for this cockamamie revolution.

***** UPDATE, WEDNESDAY: I underestimated these bastards. Not Trump -- he's still a coward.
