Cover of Murdoch's New York Post today:

Don't Murdoch and his editors know that it's conservatively incorrect to say that the Innocence of Muslims video is even partly responsible for the unrest in the Middle East? Don't they realize that connecting the two gives aid and comfort to the enemy? (I mean, of course, the Obama administration -- but, yeah, also the other enemy, the people who are actually attacking U.S. interests.)

Come on, Rupe, get the messaging straight!

Maybe he'll invite Mitt in to fire the headline writer.

OT for a mo.

Hillary gave a fine speech of exactly the kind a good American Sec State should in response to the 9/11/12 events, standing up quite firmly for American freedom of speech and flatly denying Islam any unique or special right, among all the religions, to respond to speech with violence.

Mostly, she urged mutual respect among people of all religions and even that we love one another.

It was, of course, a very Christian speech, though it was far from sectarian.

A bit like a Quaker urging people of the many denominations to chill.

No idea how that will play with the Muslim masses (couldn't hurt, I suppose), but the Libyan ambassador liked it and so did I.

This is interesting, isn't it?

Normally, NewsCorp is a faithful engine of neoliberalism, neocon propaganda, and (less reliably but usually also) of Christian right propaganda.

And Fox has certainly been out front with the birther crap, the Obama the maybe Muslim crap, and all that sort of thing.

So what is this?
