SHOOT NANCY PELOSI? NAHHH. BECK SAYS PELOSI SHOULD SHOOT VAN JONES. SO IT'S PERFECTLY OK!

Righty bloggers Patterico Patterico and Dan McLaughlin of RedState are upset because Charles Johnson of Little Green Footballs just tweeted this:

It's a reference to this clip:

But, see, it's really OK! As McLaughlin explains, if you go to the transcript of that Beck bit, you see he's not telling his followers to shoot anyone at all!

...After a lengthy diatribe about the growing danger to Democrats posed by hard-core radicals and Communists in their own coalition, Beck concludes:
...The radicals that you and Washington have co-opted and brought in wearing sheep's clothing -- change the pose. You will get the ends.

You've been using them? They believe in communism. They believe and have called for a revolution. You're going to have to shoot them in the head. But warning, they may shoot you.

They are dangerous because they believe. Karl Marx is their George Washington.
You will never change their mind. And if they feel you have lied to them -- they're revolutionaries. Nancy Pelosi, those are the people you should be worried about.

So it's cool! Really! Because -- as is clear from the transcript -- Beck's talking about the likes of Van Jones, and Andy Stern, the union leader:

... The Clintons, Bidens, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi -- they're not Nazis and they're not communists. It doesn't work, OK?

And this is where it has been confusing. I put it next to Van Jones? Yes. Bill Ayers? Yes. Dohrn, his wife? Yes. Jeff Jones? Sure.

Jodie Evans from Code Pink? You bet. Andy Stern? You bet. They're all on record saying it.

What's happened here is the politicians have been using these people as fuel. These people. Bill Ayers didn't do enough. Dohrn has said she wanted a violent revolution to collapse the American system. These people believe in that....

So these are the people who may need to be shot (by Nancy Pelosi, which lets Beck and his pals off the hook). Van Jones may need to be shot. Andy Stern. And on and on.

Patterico and McLaughlin actually think this exonerates Beck.

This is insane. This is what passes for rational argument on the right.
