WHERE DOES TRUMP GET THESE OUTRAGEOUS TALKING POINTS? OH, YEAH -- FROM FELLOW REPUBLICANS

This is leading the news today:
Trump: Obama 'is the founder of ISIS'

Republican nominee Donald Trump said Wednesday night that President Barack Obama and Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, founded ISIL.

At a rally in Sunrise, Florida, Trump once again attacked the foreign policy of Obama and Clinton, saying their policies resulted in the creation of ISIL.

“ISIS is honoring President Obama,” Trump said. “He is the founder of ISIS. He is the founder of ISIS, OK? He’s the founder. He founded ISIS. And I would say the co-founder would be crooked Hillary Clinton.”
How irresponsible! Only an unstable demagogue would say such a thing! Trump is dragging the good name of the Republican Party through the mud with these wild, unfounded accusations! Where does he get the notion that this kind of talk is acceptable?

(Source; source; source; source; source; source; source; source.)

All of that is from last year. Some of it is from Trump opponents or media outlets on the right that have denounced Trump; the last one is from General Mike Flynn, who's now a high-profile Trump backer and who was rumored to be on Trump's running-mate short list.

Trump isn't breaking new ground here -- this kind of talk has long been acceptable on the right. In fact, Trump himself has talked like this before, in January:
During his latest campaign rally in Mississippi, Mr Trump suggested the Obama administration has allowed the extremist group to flourish by ignoring his call for the US to seize oil assets now owned by Isis.

“I’ve predicted a lot of things, you have to say, including, ‘Get the oil, take the oil, keep the oil’. Right?” he said.

“I’ve been saying that for three years, and everybody said, ‘Oh I can’t do that. I mean, this is a sovereign country.’ There is no country!

“They’ve created Isis. Hillary Clinton created Isis with Obama,” he continued.
The only new twist with Trump is that yesterday he threw in some birtherist Muslim-baiting:
He also revived his suggestion that the commander-in-chief, who authorized 11,000 U.S. air strikes against ISIS in the past two years, harbors a secret affinity for the terrorists. “In many respects, you know, they honor President Obama,” Trump said, offering no further explanation.

Later, while discussing the situation in Crimea -- which he just learned was annexed by Russia in 2014 -- Trump emphasized the president’s full name, saying it took place “during the administration of Barack Hussein Obama.”
But even that isn't uniquely Trumpian -- it's just unexpected at this level. Mitt Romney and John McCain considered themselves above such cheap shots (although not McCain's running mate).

So there's nothing new here. These are just standard-issue GOP smears. They're just getting a higher profile now.

tRUMP is part of The Illuminati!
He is looking for one world order - by billionaires!

Let's see how far that can spread.
Yeah, I know it's BS - if there was such a group, they'd laugh at tRUMP - but conservatives will apparently believe any fucking thing!

This morning on Morning Goe, Total Awareness Hayden was yakking up that 50 Shades BushCo Intel dissing of Trump for being dangerous, but actually spent more time "incidentally" point out out a BETTER GOP nom would be CORRECT to blame Obama and HC for ISIS due to that BARKING NUTSO CRAZY UNILATERAL PULL OUT FROM IRAQ (..you all recall THAT one, surely: the one Dubya negotiated?).

Thus it became clear the 50 Ways To Dis Your Nom had bugger all to do with Trump - it has to do with getting JEB! back in the saddle again, or advancing the long term interests of that BushCo Yute Movement Rep, disco Jorge, or whichever Bush small animal torturer they're planning on issuing as part of some future fall line of Bushsotos.

Thing is, Fox News may have immunized a higher % of the Yutes than the BushCo Neocon Never Ending War Song have counted on - LIKE ALWAYS in the past, with the Reformation, the Glorious Revolution, Newton and Voltaire and the Enlightenment, Darwin and them, Maxwell to Boltzmann to Planck to Einstein etc, and as Fermi said, You can't changed their minds - the change comes from them dying out. You just can't suppress the brains of nearly so many kids when so many of them are like the Lovin' Spoonfuls' Nashville Cats only with the internet - Kidz To Day, Been online since they's babies!

So this bullshit just doesn't work to the same degree. They'll eventually come back in some horribly mutated new information resistant form, but for now, in the short run anyway, they're melting.

I can see why they want to nurture Zika: a new generation of GOP base zombies (they've miscalculated there, but then As They Do, right?).

On my hypothetical about Fermi and Oh These Kidz Today What'll They Think Next, I see the first poll out of South Cackalacky worth being called a "poll" is just out, and it shoow HRC within the margin of error of winning there.

If the Dems sweep in November, I for one would be on board with her POTUSship awarding Trump the P-Medal of Freedom for Making American Grape Again.

If the D's sweep in November, I'll dance the funky chicken buck-nekkid on my local Main Street at noon the day after Election Day. Meaning, I see minuscule chance of anything that I would call a "sweep". We'll do well to win the WH, and to whittle the R Senate majority down by, say, 2 net seats; the House, no significant change. Wish I could be more optimistic.

As usual, naturally, the truth is more nuanced. The politically significant truth that is.
The truth is, the neocons jumped at the chance to blame Obama's early departure from Iraq for creating ISIS.
The truth is, Obama rehabilitated the neocons by refusing to prosecute the war crimes of the Cheney-Bush-WOLFOWITZ-PERLE-FEITH coterie.
The truth is Obama gave them the opportunity to blame him for creating ISIS, even though Maliki refused to sign a SOFA agreement extending US occupation which Obama pressured under the table. This capitulation would have mobilized a multi-pronged insurgency again, casting his government as a total US puppet, which is why he didn't sign.
So the truth is, Obama should get much of the discredit for creating ISIS, just like any other interventionist, including all the crowd blaming him.

Here are two folks who didn't create ISIS--Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich.
Take the hint, because Clinton will create more jihad if given the chance.

Ambassador Michael McFaul notes the myth of Obama founding Isis is also common in Russian official propaganda and blogs.
