WHEELS WITHIN WHEELS, MAN

We just elected a Democratic president, but the outgoing Republican president and his supporters still dominate our politcal conversation and take up the majority of the politcal real estate in our heads, despite the fact that they're as crazy as cornered rats on cocaine benders.

How crazy are they? Now they're accusing one another of secretly being in league with the enemy (us). Here's a Breitbart story:
Georgia-based attorney Lin Wood is getting lots of attention for urging supporters of President Donald Trump to break with the president and not vote for GOP Sens. David Perdue (R-GA) and Kelly Loeffler (R-GA) in the upcoming January 5 runoff elections.

While Wood made his comments purportedly as a self-described supporter of Trump, while donning a red “Make America Great Again” ball cap, the real story here is that Wood is by no means a Republican and there is no record in Georgia of him ever voting for President Trump—in 2016 or in 2020—in the Republican primaries. While Wood did vote in the 2020 and 2016 general elections in Georgia—there are no records in Georgia of him pulling a GOP primary ballot in 2016 or 2020, the two years President Trump was on the ticket....

Wood also has a long history of donating to top Democrats’ presidential, gubernatorial, senatorial, and congressional campaigns. While he did shift a little bit during the Trump era and made some donations to Trump and some congressional Republicans and to the Republican National Committee, per Federal Election Commission (FEC) records, Wood has long backed Democrats for federal office and especially for Georgia offices. Donations to Democrat Party politicians from Wood over a decade plus total more than $40,000, and span from as far back as 2004 through as recently as 2018.

Campaign finance records show that Wood has donated thousands and thousands of dollars to top Democrats like former President Barack Obama, who he gave $2,300 to in 2008 over two separate donations. In 2004, Wood funded the Democrat presidential campaign of then-Sen. John Edwards (D-NC) with $500 split over two separate donations.
If you click on the link provided in that excerpt, you can see how absurd this is. The link takes us to Open Secrets, where a list of Wood's federal politcal contributions reveals a number of donations to Democrats -- and much more than "a little bit" of giving to Republicans. There are twelve donations to Donald Trump totaling $20,850. There are eight donations to the Republican National Committee totaling $356,705. There are five- and six-figure donations to the Nevada Republican Central Committee, the Republican Party of Wisconsin, the Republican Party of Florida, the Republican Party of Iowa, the Republican Federal Committee of Pennsylvania, the Republican Party of North Carolina, the Conservative Leadership Alliance PAC, and the Stop Socialism Now PAC. There are multiple donations to Doug Collins, Martha McSally, Jim Jordan, Lindsey Graham, and Marjorie Taylor Greene.

So Wood's donations to Democrats fall in the category of "I give to everybody" -- which is what Donald Trump said when he was asked in a 2015 debate why he'd given money to Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi.

I'll also remind you that we were told in 2016 that Michael Flynn was a lifelong Democrat. Flynn now wants Trump to declare martial law and order a new election overseen by the military, in order to prevent a Biden presidency. Does Breitbart think he's also a secret saboteur?

This isn't the only theory of intra-MAGA sabotage that's floating around out there. Yesterday, Jim Hoft's brother Joe posted this at Gateway Pundit:
Did AG Barr Create Durham Special Counsel to Prevent President Trump from Releasing Information Related to Crossfire Hurricane?

Today we found out that AG Bill Barr stated, while apparently blindfolded in Biden’s basement, that he sees no fraud in the 2020 election that would overturn the election. He either is totally blind, totally incompetent or totally corrupt. Although we weren’t convinced until today, we now are leaning towards the latter....

Then AG Barr said that he set up a Special Counsel to investigate the FBI and DOJ corruption related to their fraudulent and corrupt Crossfire Hurricane investigation. This Special Counsel was set up in October to investigate the same thing virtually that [John] Durham was supposed to be investigating for over a year....

Some people believe this action was to protect Durham should Joe Biden get away with stealing the 2020 election. This may be. But another thesis suggests the motive something more sinister.

... AG Barr might have set up the Durham Special Counsel to prevent President Trump from releasing classified information on those involved in Crossfire Hurricane:

Because they can't imagine how bored America is with this story, they believe that if Trump could just declassify a trove of documents connected to the Russia investigation, the scales would fall from all of our eyes and we'd demand mass arrests of Democrats and Deep State actors. What's preventing this from happening, they tell us, is the Deep State subterfuge of William Barr, Agent of George Soros and Hugo Chavez. (I made that last part up, but I assume it's implicit.)

I've run across yet another conspiracy theory -- in the comments to my last post, in fact -- but I haven't seen any right-wingers taking it up, though I wish they would:
Dear MAGA'S, the election was rigged by McConnell because he didn't like being overshadowed by Trump - McConnell used to be the most powerful Republican and he will now be again....

If the Dems had rigged the election they would have given themselves a much bigger margin, taken a few more States like Florida and Texas at least, not lose any sitting members, and most importantly gained control of the Senate and gotten rid of McConnell, Graham and Collins (plus a few others just for a safety margin).

...the results are exactly what you would see if McConnell wanted to get rid of Trump but still retain his own powerbase.
C'mon, Breitbart and Gateway Pundit, please fall for this. You're cute when you're mad -- at your own allies.
