I should also have mentioned a couple of other highlights of the new
New York Times bestseller list: Not only is Ron Suskind's book at #1 on the nonfiction list, as I noted below, but at #3, #4, and #5 (after Pete Rose at #2) are
American Dynasty, the Kevin Phillips book on the Bushes;
Dude, Where's My Country? by Michael Moore; and
Lies ... by Al Franken. Oh, and John le Carre's
Absolute Friends, which includes passages critical of the Iraq war, is at #3 in its first week on the fiction list.
