OBAMA'S EVIL FASCIST MAGIC FINGERS

President Obama announced some gun policy changes today, and this got attention:
President Barack Obama wept openly Tuesday as he delivered a forceful defense of new executive actions on gun violence, a set of modest proposals to tighten loopholes that likely face quick legal challenges and could be vulnerable to reversal by a Republican White House.

The president ran through a list of mass shootings that have happened during his time in office, and teared up as he recalled the schoolchildren gunned down in Newtown, Connecticut in 2012.

"First graders in Newtown. First graders," Obama said, pausing to collect himself. "Every time I think about those kids, it gets me mad."

Fox's Andrea Tantaros, the B-list Ann Coulter, claimed the tears were induced:
Fox News host Andrea Tantaros suggested on Tuesday President Barack Obama had used a “raw onion” to produce fake tears for shooting victims during his press conference on gun violence....

Tantaros said that she didn’t buy the emotion because “he would have spoken out a long time ago.” ...

“So, I would check that podium for like a raw onion or some No More Tears,” Tantaros quipped. “It’s not really believable. And the award goes to... we are in awards season.”
Notice that the lectern is at chest height. Do you cry when a chopped onion is at chest height? I don't. You've got to get your face closer than that.

Also, if you check the unedited video of the speech at WhiteHouse.gov, you see that he arrives at the lectern at 42:33 and doesn't cry until more than a half hour later -- he wipes his eye at 1:12:44.

That's got to be some top-secret genetically modified CIA time-release onion.

But Breitbart ragemonger John Nolte has the most brilliant theory:

Let me show you the clip again:

At 47 seconds, the president wipes his left eye twice.

At 59 seconds, you see a tear descend from his right eye. (A tear from his left eye follows.)

So how did he induce a tear in his right eye with his left hand?

Must be some evil socialist Alinskyite Kenyan voodoo.

I would have expected far more in the way of feminizing his tears.
You know: 'Real manly-men Presidents don't cry!'

Oh well, there's always tomorrow...

As for these conservative dipshit's doing the criticizing, the only time they probably ever cried when the were adults, were the days AFTER each of the times Obama beat the living snot out of their GOP candidate.

And the only time that evil Tantaros twit ever laughs a real hearty laugh, is whenever she puts DVD's of "Faces of Death" in her player.
She knows them all by heart, and gets wet just hitting her "Play" button.
And I'll just leave it to your filthy imaginations, as to what she's up to (or, more accurately, down to), when she pauses her favorite death scenes.

They have to lie & make shit up: it's their jobs!

If they are not psychos, then they are to be pitied. If that are, then they should be put away so they do no further hard to others. If they're just mean, tho, well: fuck them.

"Fascist tears"??????

WTF?

Also - Andrea Tantaros no longer belongs to the human race.

Does Andrea Tantaros think that it's wrong to weep at the thought of the death of 20 six-year-olds?

The thought of Tantaros as a b-list media personality leaves me happy to be a z-list blogger.

After John Boehner's tenure, even Republicans would grasp the irony.

Next time I'm in south Alabama for my annual trek to inns closely-mowed native grasses, I'll be asking for a room with one of those Evil Fascist Obama Magic Fingers bed.

I watch what people chose as their object of cynicism. Because in that way they are basically saying, If this were true, it would be powerful. Holocaust denier? You must know deep in your heart that the truth of the Holocaust changes everything. Birther? You must understand, if only unconsciously, that the story of a black man gaining the presidency is a powerful story of healing in America. Presidential tears? If true, we are confronted with an empathic display of the tragedy of gun deaths. Denial is a way of acknowledging the power of a truth.

I see the seeds of an effective anti propaganda vaccine in Molly's comment. How could one rhetorically "weaponize" the concept for mass communication?

Does Obama cry for all the kids he's had killed in his drone strikes?

Kinda feel like this ought to be pointed out. Let's not get the idea that he's an actual good guy.
