THAT RACIST FACEBOOK POST FROM THE OKLAHOMA GOP? YOUR UNCLE PROBABLY EMAILED IT TO YOU YEARS AGO.

You probably know about this:
The Oklahoma Republican Party is in hot water again, this time for comparing food stamp recipients to animals.

A post that appeared Monday on the party's Facebook page reasoned that food stamp recipients, like animals, "will grow dependent on handouts and will not learn to take care of themselves":

The post, which was deleted early Tuesday afternoon, didn't exactly get its facts right. This year is not seeing the "greatest amount of free meals and food stamps ever"...
Well, of course it didn't get the facts right, because hate-filled right-wingers send this little knee-slapper to one another every year. Here it is on a message board in 2006:

Here it is on another message board in 2011.

Here it is in 2012 on a military history blog:

It went semi-viral in 2012 -- it even showed up in a Townhall column, after being published in a local paper somewhere:

Unsurprisingly, the tireless right-wing email collector who runs My Right-Wing Dad found it that year as well.

So not only was this stupid and offensive, it's not even original.

In their minds, it's an oldie and a goodie!

Or conservatives lack imagination.
That's why their e-mails and Facebook posts are all alike.

I thought it sounded familiar. Ugh,

And the horseshit message is somehow worth responding to?

A basic tenet of conservative theology says that people in need, NEED because they are lesser beings. THAT is the topic, not merely the latest iteration of the message conservatives chuckle about.

Want to end that sort of stupidity? Respond with facts, not propaganda.
