Weasel Zippers and the Lonely Conservative, following the lead of the stupidest person in the blogosphere, Jim Hoft of Gateway Pundit, are guffawing and throwing paper and belching the alphabet in the back row of the class because they think this is hilarious:
You just can't make this up.
Oaf Joe Biden told reporters he joked with shooting victim about "cracked heads."
"She's now a member of the cracked head club like me."
ABC reported:
Vice President Joe Biden, with a big smile on his face, walked to the House floor and said, "I came to see Gabby, that's why I’m here."
When Biden was asked about what he spoke with Giffords about, he joked, "She's now a member of the cracked head club like me." ...
Apparently our little hooligans are unaware that Biden nearly died a couple of decades ago:
We often hear the term brain aneurysm. Joe Biden had two of them twenty years ago. Doctors saved his life....
The Mayo Clinic in Minnesota says as many as fifteen million people in the United States, or five percent, have a [brain] aneurysm....
The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke estimates that forty percent of victims die within twenty-four hours. Another twenty-five percent die within six months....
In Joe Biden's case, his neck hurt for several weeks. Doctors thought he had a pinched nerve and a virus. But in February of nineteen eighty-eight, tests showed a leaking artery at the base of his brain. Doctors operated successfully, and again three months later for an aneurysm in another area....
Does that give Biden the right to joke about a shooting victim? Look, I'm in my fifties -- younger than Biden was when he had a condition that could have killed him. I've never had a medical condition that could have killed me. I've never had surgery on or near my brain. I'm going to cut the guy a break here. (Hoft and his pals, needless to say, don't tell you anything about Biden's medical history.)
Well, it doesn't matter what I think. Class clown Hoft will probably get the latest of his many Fox Nation links for this. In Wingnuttia, the class troublemaker is the teacher's pet.

UPDATE: Well, Fox Nation linked directly to the original ABC story, but with Hoft's spin ("Biden Makes Giffords Gaffe"). To be fair, the ABC story doesn't offer any explanation for Biden's remark, either.
