Well, you probably know that Bechtel, which just got a big Iraq rebuilding contract, tried to do a deal with Saddam to build an oil pipeline at a time when Iraq was using chemical weapons, and you've probably seen this picture of Bechtel employee Don Rumsfeld cheerily shaking hands with the Butcher of Baghdad.
But that's not what I want to talk about. I want to talk about the Big Dig.
Bostonians, and those of us with friends and relatives in Boston, know all about the Big Dig, a massive highway reconstruction project that became infinitely more massive as a result of mind-boggling cost overruns. Guess who the lead Big Dig contractor was.
