THANK GOD REPUBLICANS AREN'T LIKE THOSE CELEBRITY-OBSESSED DEMOCRATS

The talk of the blogosphere right now is the endorsement of Mike Huckabee by none other than Chuck Norris.

I was going to write a post suggesting that this might require the GOP to hold a fight to the death, no weapons barred, between Norris and Ted Nugent, who endorsed Fred Thompson last summer -- but I see that earlier this month Nugent also endorsed Huckabee. Nice bet-hedging, Ted! So it appears that Huckabee has cornered the market on endorsements from stinking-rich faux-ordinary posturing-tough-guy GOP celebrities -- at least until the Nuge changes his endorsement again.

None of this means, of course, that it's OK for Democratic entertainers to endorse anyone or get involved in any campaign in any way. Don't get any ideas, you stinking hippies! And Bruce Springsteen, that means you! Just shut up and sing!
