I'd like to commend this right-wing cartoonist for using a literary allusion to make his point ... I'd like to, but the cartoonist obviously doesn't have the slightest idea what actually takes place in Don Quixote.
Or maybe he does know. When you think about it, this is an excellent analogy -- Quixote thought the windmills were evil giants; Aznar thought Saddam and his henchmen were bent on harming the West. Quixotic has come to mean "quirky," but Quixote was delusional. Damn right this is a quixotic war.
