DONALD TRUMP, HUMBLE BARD OF THE WORKING CLASS

A YouTuber named Master Ziikos remixed and edited Oliver Anthony's "Rich Men North of Richmond" so it looks as if Donald Trump is the vocalist. The clip isn't truly viral in the way the original song was -- it has 281,000 views on YouTube after nine days -- but why would anyone respond to it?



Here are the opening lyrics:

I've been sellin' my soul, workin' all day / Overtime hours for bullshit pay / So I can sit out here and waste my life away / Drag back home and drown my troubles away.

It's a damn shame what the world's gotten to / For people like me and people like you / Wish I could just wake up and it not be true / But it is, oh, it is.

Is that really how Trump fans see him? As a guy who's working "overtime hours for bullshit pay"? Don't they believe he's one of the richest men in the world?

But it's been clear since 2015 that they really believe he's one of them -- or that he's a rich guy who could have continued his life of ease, but he generously gave all that up in order to save America because he's so goshdarn patriotic.

They apparently don't see Trump as a rich man who lives, or used to live, north of Richmond -- or they do see him that way, but they don't really have a problem if he aspires to "total control."

I wish politicians would look out for miners / And not just minors on an island somewhere

On the subject of Jeffrey Epstein, I know that many people just retreat to their corners and talk only about the political enemies who hung out with him. Democrats don't talk about Bill Clinton. Republicans don't talk about Trump. But I don't think even a Bill Clinton fan (are there still Bill Clinton fans?) would create a video in which he lip-synced this verse about Epstein. Even Clinton admirers know he's made some very bad choices in the personal realm. Trump fans, not so much.

But I guess anything that seems to own the libs gets this response on the right, even if it makes no sense. Gateway Pundit posted the video a couple of days ago. Here are some comments:

All of his hits are grassroots(from the people) This just shows he is the peoples president.

Maybe the fans don't really see Trump as a working-class hero -- they see him as a rock star singing a hit song. Either way, they think he's amazing:
