Sen. Mark Kirk On Iran Deal: Obama “Wants To Get Nukes To Iran,” Predicts Nuclear War In Middle EastI see that BooMan is now wondering whether Kirk's intemperate words have anything to do with the stroke he suffered in 2012. I speculated about that myself last month after a series of odd Kirk moments:
... Kirk said he believed the only reason the president supported legislation from Republican Sen. Bob Corker, the chair of the Foreign Relations Committee, that allowed Congress to review the deal was because he “wants...to get nukes to Iran.”
“Under the Bob Corker legislation that recently passed Congress can do a resolution of disapproval and the president can veto it. The only reason that the president supported Corker legislation is because it allows him to get what he wants on Iran which is to get nukes to Iran.”
Sen. Mark Kirk said in an interview that he regrets referring to Sen. Lindsey Graham as a “bro with no ho” but declined to clarify or further explain his controversial remark....On the other hand, in most of these incidents, wasn't Kirk just expressing the beliefs of a lot of Republicans -- quite possibly a majority? Please, Public Policy Polling (or some other firm), survey some Republicans and ask them point-blank whether they think President Obama actively seeks to help Iran get the bomb. Would a majority say yes?
“I’ve been joking with Lindsey,” Kirk said, according to audio from the Huffington Post. “Did you see that? He’s going to have a rotating first lady. He’s a bro with no ho.”
... It’s one of several hot-button comments that Kirk has made this year, including suggesting that the GOP should put coffins outside Democratic offices if there was a terrorist attack during a Homeland Security shutdown and saying people “drive faster” through black neighborhoods.
And, of course, what Kirk is saying isn't very different from what's been said by a guy who's threatened to run a primary challenge against him, radio host and former congressman Joe Walsh, who hasn't had a stroke:

I know the smart people never believe that Republican poll respondents are serious when they express absurd beliefs -- for instance, that they don't believe Obama was born in America. But do the poll anyway. Get it on the record.
