So I told you last week that Tucker Carlson has been describing Donald Trump as a likely assassination target. Now we have a Russian media figure claiming that Carlson could be assassinated:
On Thursday, Russia’s most prominent propagandist, Vladimir Solovyov, ... predicted that soon there might be another potential victim: former Fox News host and current X (formerly Twitter) podcaster Tucker Carlson....For Solovyov, this is speculative whataboutism -- he said this at a time when Russians are talking about the death of Wagner Group chief Yevgeny Prigozhin, undoubtedly at Vladimir Putin's behest. Solovyov's message: You think Putin had Prigozhin killed? Well, the American Establishment wants to kill Donald Trump and Tucker Carslson!
In a series of clips from Adam Carolla’s YouTube show that were hand-selected for Solovyov’s program, Carlson accused both Republicans and the Democrats of being “insane” and hysterical, predicting that a war between the U.S. and Russia would start next year.
Solovyov theatrically asked, “Who says that? A dead man walking! He sincerely believes that the next step after the accusations and the declaration of impeachment will be an assassination of Trump. But this man, who is currently the most popular English-speaking journalist, signed his own death warrant!”
Solovyov said Carlson would be an assassination target if he succeeded in his effort to arrange an interview with Putin:

Solovyov predicted dire consequences that would follow Carlson’s persistent attempts to score a sit-down with the Russian president: “I can’t rule out that in the near future, as he is leaving Europe, there will either be an air crash or something will happen to the car in which he will be traveling, or he might eat something that he shouldn’t, maybe his heart will suddenly stop! If I were in his place, I would tell no one of my travel routes.”Alex Jones sees all this going on and he's jealous. Trump and Carlson aren't the only assassination targets! He's an assassination target, too!

ALEX JONES: ... we're in the season, we're in the time of assassination. So it goes without saying, in a globalist coup, the top of the execution list is Donald Trump, Tucker Carlson, Alex Jones, and, because the system trying to push around other people didn't work, Joe Rogan.This is preposterous, obviously -- but notice who's on the list: In addition to Trump, it's three broadcasters. Jones is telling his audience that the "globalists" don't want to kill anyone (apart from Trump) who actually does anything -- no legislators, no Supreme Court justices, no Elon Musk. Jones's list is aimed at people who consume right-wing media all day and believe that right-wing media is the center of counterrevolutionary power because right-wing media is their entire world. I'm tempted to include Trump in this category -- his superfans say they think he was a great president, but I think what they liked most about him was the way he talked trash, not anything he did in the realm of governance. Well, maybe they loved his cruelty to immigrants. But mostly what they seemed to like was the way he performed as president, not the way he governed.
Putin benefits from this assassination conspiracy theory because the theory persuades his fans (here and in Russia) that Establishment figures in America and Europe are political murderers, too -- everyone does it, so if Putin does it, so what?Carlson and Jones are doing Putin's work, but they're also persuading their domestic audience that the anti-Trump U.S. Establishment is guilty of crimes that haven't even happened yet. Establishhment Republicans might not like Trump, or Carlson or Jones, but in 2024 they'll benefit from the anger this conspiracy theory is stirring up.
