TARGET OF THE NEXT RIGHT-WING FATWA: MEG REISS

Donald Trump has been indicted, according to multiple news reports -- and you know what happens whenever something occurs that right-wingers don't like: They "pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it," as Saul Alinsky put it in Rules for Radicals.

The obvious target is Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg, but the right-wing media already has an additional target, an assistant DA in Bragg's office named Meg Reiss. She's likely to become a household name in Wingnut Land soon, the kind of person your right-wing relatives mention in conversation as if you consume their media fourteen hours a day and therefore know what the hell they're talking about.

A couple of weeks ago, John Cardillo, a former New York cop and righty media figure, tweeted this:

A couple of days ago, Fox ran this story:
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's chief prosecutor has argued for critical race theory ideology to be integrated into the criminal justice system as part of a "new paradigm of prosecution," while claiming criminals are not necessarily "bad dudes," Fox News Digital found....

"So one of the first things [to] do is change the language: ‘the bad dude.’ What does that mean? What are the circumstances of that person coming into the criminal justice system in the first place? And what is the background to that person?" she said in a 2017 interview unearthed by Fox News Digital....

As part of Reiss' goals to radically change the criminal justice system, Reiss created the Institute for Innovation on Prosecution in 2016 at John Jay College, which collaborates with prosecution offices, including the Manhattan DA, to bring about racial equity reforms rooted in critical race theory ideology.
This morning Gateway Pundit posted items from Reiss's Twitter, where she liked a number of anti-Trump tweets:

A few hours later, Gateway Pundit crowed that Reiss had locked down her Twitter account, then deleted it.

I hope she survives this unharmed.
