ONE DOWN, 62 MILLION TRUMP VOTERS TO GO

I suppose there could be a fair amount of this over the next four years:
When Donald Trump named his Treasury secretary, Teena Colebrook felt her heart sink.

She had voted for the president-elect on the belief that he would knock the moneyed elites from their perch in Washington, D.C. And she knew Trump's pick for Treasury -- Steven Mnuchin -- all too well.

OneWest, a bank formerly owned by a group of investors headed by Mnuchin, had foreclosed on her Los Angeles-area home in the aftermath of the Great Recession, stripping her of the two units she rented as a primary source of income.

"I just wish that I had not voted," said Colebrook, 59. "I have no faith in our government anymore at all. They all promise you the world at the end of a stick and take it away once they get in."

... Over five years, she tried unsuccessfully to adjust her loan with OneWest through the Treasury Department's Home Affordable Modification Program. But she said that One West Bank lost paperwork, provided conflicting statements about ownership of the loan and fees and submitted charges that were unverified and caused her loan balance to balloon....

Colebrook said she is still challenging the foreclosure in court.
I'm sorry it took Colebrook until now to realize that Trump is a con artist. Other voters will eventually discover that.

But just as Trump can't really save or bring back all the manufacturing jobs with a Carrier deal here and a Carrier deal there, he can't personally betray all 62 million of his voters. You'll say, as Paul Krugman does today, that he's likely to betray millions of them all at once when he signs the repeal of Obamacare. But I think Republicans will find a way to replace Obamacare with something, and the inadequacy of the replacement will become obvious only gradually.

In the meantime, Trump will just keep rallying the base against the usual enemies, the way he did last night in Cincinnati. He'll have the occasional policy win, and he'll promise that wall construction is going to get under way in earnest any day now, and that ISIS is going to get hit so hard very, very soon.... Americans will eventually catch on to him, I guess, but it's going to take years.

You, you stupid sucker, if it was just you who gambled on the 3-card game, and lost, we'd ALL be laughing at you!

But you and 60+ million others gambled with ALL of our futures, and guess what?
The grifter walks away with more power, and access to money even in his fondest wet-dream, he couldn't have imagined.

Now, go in the corner, STFU, and do the anatomically impossible to yourself!

And after a while, we'll welcome you back to the reality-based community.
You know - the people who tried to warn suckers like you!
ASSHOLES!!!

You're an optimist, Steve. Some Americans may catch on to Trump, but probably not any meaningful number.

I didn't say soon. I'd say maybe six years. Cf. George W. Bush. Of course, by that, he'll have done a massive amount of harm to America.

I would say that all of those that voted for Trump will make excuses for him and the GOP until something hits them or their family hard. The one hard hit that I believe will wake up quite a few is when the GOP end Medicare and Social Security. It is going to be kind of hard to make excuses when the Grand parents have to move in for they have lost everything. Also when money stops for those Disabled. Once this hits voters of Trump real hard between the eyes they will do their normal and watch Fox news for support, clutch their Bible and hug their guns. These will be the real hardcore ones.
Others that voted as a retaliation to Government will be in a panic for they never imagined the GOP would follow through. These are the ones that the GOP has to worry about. How long all of America suffers is up to We The People. We have the US Constitution all it requires is for us to do more then cry, complain, blog, twit. It requires action supported by the Constitution actual moving and doing. The question is do Americans still have the ability to act?

When Trump and the Republicans do something that harms Republicans, Republicans will blame it on Democrats, people of color, undocumented people, and refugees, because that's how they think, about everything, all the time. Republicans will never turn their backs on their party. Our only hope is for people who don't vote to start voting for Democrats instead. Persuasion, or proof, or factual events that actually occur, aren't going to be effective, sooner, later, or ever.

Doesn't seem to matter what awful policies the Republicans have. The Trump fans will find a way to blame Obama and Clinton. Their hatred of Democrats is white hot.

No blame shifting will work. The republicans own everything now. They can't deny it and they can't scream nigg@r loud enough to distract from the fact that people will die without the ACA. And tRump better build that wall and throw out 11 millions Mexicans
