SIX-PLUS MONTHS OF WALL-TO-WALL RIGHT-WING BENGHAZI COVERAGE HAS RAISED OBAMA'S DISAPPROVAL ... BY 1%

Is it working? Not really:
Americans are more likely to disapprove than approve of the way President Barack Obama has handled the aftermath of last September's attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, and many think that the administration intentionally misled the American people about the attack, according to a new HuffPost/YouGov poll.

The poll found that 42 percent of Americans said they disapprove of the way it has been handled, while 27 percent said they approve.
Sounds bad until you look at this:
. In another HuffPost/YouGov poll conducted last October, respondents disapproved by a similar margin, 41 percent to 32 percent.
That was a few weeks before Obama was reelected.

So is this working? Well, Obama's approval on the issue down 5%, and his disapproval is up 7% among independents. So maybe -- to a limited extent. And we'll see what today's news does to public opinion. But no, the outrage is not building.

  1. Benghazi is not about President Obama...It is an attack on Hillary...pre-emptive seems to be a standard GOP tactic...kinda reminds me of something else....what was that?

  2. Buford's got it. They say Obama, but Hillary's face is usually 90% of the frame.

  3. I like The Rube One's take: when Gearge Bush was asleep on the job four thousand (4,000) people died. When Obama was asleep on the job four (4) people died. Not to mention the four thousand (4,000) Americans who died for that nigger's lies since. Or the hundreds of thousands (100,000+) not-whites who died for that lie.

Nor to mention the seventeen (17) attacks on American Consulates on that dog's watch.

    No fear.

  4. One should Assume that the hierarchy op the GOP aren't as Two dimensional as the rest of its flock. I'd suggest that Buford is on the correct track. Their intention is to coral "their sheeple" for inoculation in preparation the mid terms.
Keep in mind also their longer focus is on setting up for the 2016 election particularly if She runs. You can bet your bippy if she does Bengazi will be a big gun in the fight.
By then the public will remember the CONTROVERSY not the Facts or the proportion.
Arguing by comparison to GOP past Presidents is like arguing against true Merican heroes to the GOP sheeples. Comparisons with Shrub Jr are a waste of effort.

  5. Not too many people are going to turn out to be one issue voters when the issue is Benghazi.

The Benghazi affair reflects badly on the Dems, no way around it.

But it's just not that big a deal to the public.

Still less this emerging hoopla about the IRS keeping a sharp eye on the tea baggers.

Well, what self-identified group would you consider more to be a self-identified group of likely tax cheaters than the tea bagders, with their endless psycho ranting about taxes and the IRS?

  6. What's amazing to me, is that the MSM is actually starting to notice the Republican parties over-reach on Benghazi.

And yes, while it seems like the Republicans are flinging their poo at President Obama, it's really aimed at Hillary.

She scares the living shit out of them.
    Why?
Because she's popular in Appalachia - the only other major Republican stronghold outside of the old Confederacy, and a few whack-a-loon Western states.

And, without VA, WV, TN, and GA, and parts of PA, they have NO CHANCE of winning the Presidency in 2016

They lost their best chance at total control of the government in 2012, so, now, "IT'S 2016, OR BUST!!!"

They need every young or old white person's vote in 2016, or "The Stupid Party," will also be "The Extinct Party."

Give them credit, at least they're still smart enough to realize that.
