WINGERS: LEAVE BIG CORPORATIONS AND THE WELL-TO-DO ALO-O-O-O-NE!

The right-o-sphere is all a-flutter about this newsflash from The American Spectator's Philip Klein:

BREAKING: CBO Says Repealing ObamaCare Would Reduce Net Spending by $540 Billion

But wait -- didn't we just hear that repealing the health law would increase the deficit, according to the CBO analysis? Well, that's true, and Klein doesn't deny it.

But he doesn't care. He's rather see the law repealed because the reason the health care law reduces the deficit is that -- OMIGOD!!! -- some people pay more taxes:

The Congressional Budget Office, in an email to Capitol Hill staffers obtained by the Spectator, has said that repealing the national health care law would reduce net spending by $540 billion in the ten year period from 2012 through 2021. That number represents the cost of the new provisions, minus Medicare cuts. Repealing the bill would also eliminate $770 billion in taxes. It's the tax hikes in the health care law (along with the Medicare cuts) which accounts for the $230 billion in deficit reduction.

And what are those tax increases exactly? The Christian Science Monitor lists some of them:

For example, individuals making over $200,000, and couples making over $250,000, face higher Medicare Part A (that's hospital insurance) taxes under Obama's health reforms. Their Part A tax rate is supposed to go up 0.9 percent on January 1, 2013. That's a big money raiser, estimated to bring in $210 billion between 2013 and 2019. And it would be eliminated if the health care reform law is repealed. So would planned fees levied on insurers, medical device manufacturers, and others.

So: taxes on high earners and big corporations. Merciful heavens -- can't have that just to get more people insured and reduce the deficit, can we?

And, apparently, more people are geting health insurance as a result of the law -- which I learned from that pinko-socialist rag Forbes:

More Small Businesses Offering Health Care To Employees Thanks To Obamacare

The first statistics are coming in and, to the surprise of a great many, Obamacare might just be working to bring health care to working Americans precisely as promised.

The major health insurance companies around the country are reporting a significant increase in small businesses offering health care benefits to their employees.

Why?

Because the tax cut created in the new health care reform law providing small businesses with an incentive to give health benefits to employees
is working....

Do right-wingers want to increase health care access? No. Do they want to reduce the deficit? No. Do they want to protect well-off people and big corporations from any tax increase for any reason, ever? Yup.
