THOSE RIOT-PRONE DEMOCRATS

Last night on ABC news, Jake Tapper linked the chance of a brokered Democratic convention this year to riots in the streets.

Watch Tapper's report here. Talking about the possibility that superdelegates will decide the nominee, he says this:

... But if party insiders choose the candidate with fewer elected delegates, that could cause an uproar, bringing back memories of the turbulent 1968 Chicago convention, which party chairman Howard Dean wants to avoid at all costs....

Yeah, right, Jake -- that's what all the violence in the Chicago streets in 1968 was about: credentials-committee delegate-selection decisions.
