THE POLITICO'S BEN SMITH WRITES GIULIANI PRESS RELEASE, SAVES CAMPAIGN STAFFERS THE TROUBLE OF HAVING TO WRITE IT THEMSELVES

AP, July 23:

Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani took Democratic White House hopefuls to task Monday for being soft on terrorists....

"At no time during their three debates have they used the words 'Islamic terrorists,'" Giuliani said of the Democratic contenders....

Ben Smith in the Politico today, writing about Barack Obama's speech at the Wilson Center:

Obama's speech: No mention of "war on terror"

...One note: The phrase "war on terror" appears nowhere in the speech.

The closest he comes: "America is at war with terrorists who killed on our soil. We are not at war with Islam."

Also absent from the speech is any reference to "Islamic terrorism," "Islamism," or "Islamofacism" -- the buzzwords of those who see a global conflict between the West and a specifically Muslim insurgency....

Yeah, Rudy's people will trim that "buzzwords" part off, but other than that, the Rudyites don't even have to write this up -- all they have to do is copy and paste.

Rudy's people say thanks, Ben!
