In case you were wondering:

The U.S. military said two U.S. soldiers were killed today when their vehicle hit a roadside bomb south of Baghdad, bringing the American death toll this month to at least 33, two more than were killed in March....

Last week a lot of right-wingers were boastfully citing this blog post about Brookings Institution data on Iraq. The post (at My Election Analysis) noted that casualties and attacks were clearly trending down in many categories. The MEA post was careful not to jump to sweeping conclusions; the righties weren't cautious at all. Well, so much for those metrics, or at least one of them.
