AP declares, with some hesitation, that Kerry might be about to declare John Edwards his running mate. ABC's World News Tonight had similar -- and less hesitant -- speculation tonight. (The ABC story isn't online, unfortunately -- the ABC site has just a version of the AP story. And yes, this contradicts The Note at the ABC News site, which is picking Gephardt.)

I hope the Edwards story is true.
