This makes me furious:

"Now we face a choice. We go forward with confidence, resolve and hope. Or we can turn back to the dangerous illusion that terrorists are not plotting, and outlaw regimes are no threat," the ad says.....

Dammit -- nobody is harboring that illusion (nobody was harboring it even before the Spain bombings). Our point is that Iraq was a diversion. We're the people who want to stop terrorism by confronting people who are actually terrorists.

Did the Republicans cook up this slander for rhetorical effect and then actually come to believe their own lie?
