Last month, Joe Conason posted a link to an Editor & Publisher survey that showed a 2-1 preference for George W. Bush in 2000 among newspaper editors and publishers who expressed a preference. This, of course, flies in the face of what every right-winger "knows" -- namely, that the press is lousy with liberals and thus lousy with liberalism.

Please note that this survey took place just before the last presidential election, unlike the dated, cobwebbed surveys that figure prominently in the typical right-wing article that "proves" liberal media bias. Oh, and did I mention that the 2000 preference among publishers alone was three to one?

Alas, almost as soon as Conason posted the link, it became impossible to access. Well, it's fine now. Here it is; it's also perma-linked at right.

Memorize it. Forward it to friends. Fling it in Limbaughnistas' faces.
