I agree that ...I have to disagree, Victor, in part.<br />I agree that letting people self identify as independents has lost real meaning, but for the opposite reason. Many things I've read, no links, too lazy to google, have said that Tea Partiers id as independent when asked by pollsters, but that doesn't mean they're open to voting for Democrats.
