It couldn't possibly be an organic development based on observing American politics for decades.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3856837.post-22669014346638429332016-01-26T06:41:09.235-05:002016-01-26T06:41:09.235-05:00I've been reading a lot of otherwise smart peo...I've been reading a lot of otherwise smart people make this sort of arguement against Sanders lately. Our foreign policy is only marginally better than it was before Obama in many ways: lots of airstrikes, intervention in Libya, a troop increase in Afghanistan, to name a few. That's our status quo, and Clinton has made zero noises about changing that as far as I know. So who cares about that kind of experience?

If all the president can really do is staff the executive and appoint judges, Sanders would do as good or better a job than Clinton, in my opinion. So why have I been hearing variations on "What would a Sanders presidency even look like? Everything he wants is impossible with Congress in GOP hands!" when there is zero chance they'll work with Clinton on anything either.

It's almost like it was coordinated and encouraged by some political campaign.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05946685461142556995noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3856837.post-55870781281963439052016-01-25T12:40:05.810-05:002016-01-25T12:40:05.810-05:00The media is constantly a concern.

I suspect he'd struggle to finish first in any state, even NY (where he's unloved outside the city and not all that well liked in the five boroughs).

However, there's talk on the right of ginning up a four-man race, with a "real" (i.e., establishment) Republican, if Trump gets the GOP nomination and Bloomberg runs. Well, it's mostly just Bill Kristol and Power Line, as far as I know, but others might be thinking about this. Just sayin'.

I lost friends eight years ago to Clinton Derangement Syndrome, or more accurately a number of this venue who had previously enjoyed my respect no longer enjoyed that respect. It’s happening again. It was bad eight years ago, now it’s downright republican. And may well end my wavering towards the democrat if Sanders tops the ticket, and result in a stoic resolution to not vote the democrat even if Bernie tops the ticket.

It was bad eight years ago, today it is downright republican.Ten Bearshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06594307610015584119noreply@blogger.com
