Bush.<br /><br />I can't remember us having a President in our history who was as big an economic AND foreign policy disaster as W.<br /><br />Yes, Carter got caught in the post-Vietnam War economic downturn (a natural downturn after any war, since the war is, itself, a stimulus), which actually started under Nixon and Ford, and the rise of oil prices due to OPEC and Middle East problems.<br />And yes, the military attempt to free the hostages in Iran was tragic - BUT NO EPIC, LIKE AFGHANISTAN AND IRAQ!!!<br />Or anywhere near as costly in blood and treasure.<br /><br />Unlike Bush, Carter didn't directly get us involved in two incompetently planned and managed wars and occupations, or cause the near complete collapse of America's, and the world's, ecnomies. with tax cuts and deregulation.<br />Bush did.<br /><br />'Nuff said!
