I never ever want to hear one single whine or snide remark from any republican about Bill Clinton's sex life.

Making the divisions between rich and poor wider with more poor people only works so long as the French found in 1789. The republicans have fixed it so we have a wide array of people ranging from plain stupid to uneducated (there is a difference) and a shit ton of them are armed. The gates and the guards will only last so long when there is no way of going in or out to get food.

Wouldn't it be funny if the guy who finally takes their guns is a republican who decides to call for marshal law and take away their guns under the guise of national security.

rclzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05866339978349617188noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3856837.post-24380661137269510632017-02-01T21:36:34.821-05:002017-02-01T21:36:34.821-05:00You're spot on, Steve. You're spot on, Steve.Never Ben Betterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17814767173601107270noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3856837.post-60126630965813499092017-02-01T21:11:27.481-05:002017-02-01T21:11:27.481-05:00I guess I've never really understood where the...I guess I've never really understood where the end game is for the national GOP at least since the Gingrich Era. Their goal seems to be the destruction of the modern federal government except for the so-called "nightwatchman state" (Defense, Intelligence and Homeland Security). At least that's their rhetoric. All other functions would either be privatized and/or turned back to the states; a variation of the Articles of Confederation in other words.

For grownups, this is pretty much a recipe for political and economic disaster and a huge increase in inequality and social conflict. Of course, if they rig the voting system and use the slave state era Electoral College and a compliant SCOTUS they can continue to enact a huge amount of this extremely destructive agenda. The point is that this agenda is entirely negative and alienating and deliberately designed to instigate more or less continual conflict.

I guess they would argue that the constant barrage of outrageous actions will just induce outrage exhaustion, resignation and apathy. However, there is the Law of Unintended Consequences to consider. Rolling back the coal pollution regulation will kill people and they will mostly be rural GOP voters. The GOP never seem to think about the Law of Unintended Consequences.Jimbohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13891331049535299222noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3856837.post-47119656653767298992017-02-01T19:47:00.291-05:002017-02-01T19:47:00.291-05:00"I know a lot of people disagree with this.&q..."I know a lot of people disagree with this."

If so, they aren't thinking clearly. Starting with Newt's Congress, the GOP has blown up almost all governing norms. We've reached the point where they no longer exist. To expect the GOP to capitulate was wishful thinking at best, delusional at worst. mathguyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02591559181439884572noreply@blogger.com
