TWITCHY: IT REALLY SUCKS THAT SOMEBODY ATTACKED THIS GUY WE DEMONIZE MULTIPLE TIMES A WEEK

In the news today:
David Hogg, a recent graduate of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and a prominent activist against gun violence, was "swatted" on Tuesday morning.

Swatting is the act of making a prank emergency call so that armed authorities respond to a hoax situation....

The SWAT team went in and cleared the home. It was determined that the call was a hoax and the spokesperson said that no one was in the house at the time.
Hogg is in Washington to accept the RFK Human Rights award, accompanied by his mother.

The folks at the right-wing tweet-aggregation site Twitchy appear to be legitimately horrified:
SHAMEFUL! Hoax SWAT called to home of David Hogg...

Some people are just sick.

It’s a sad reality of where we are politically as a country right now, as evident in this morning’s hoax SWAT call to David Hogg’s home in Parkland, Fl in which the caller claimed hostages had been taken.

This is seriously effed up....

If you are unfamiliar with what it means to be ‘swatted,’ it is a form of harassment where someone deceives emergency services into sending a police force to a person’s home. And considering police were allegedly told this was a hostage situation it was INCREDIBLY dangerous for the Hogg family....

Absolutely.
So the folks at Twitchy are horrified by this? They see it as a sign of "where we are politically as a country right now" that David Hogg would be targeted?

Gosh, I wonder what could have made someone this angry at Hogg. Could it be right-wing media items like this?

And these?

I should acknowledge that we don't know for certain who swatted David Hogg -- opinions vary!

But I'm assuming the culprit consumes a lot of right-wing media. Twitchy included?
