ANGRY AT OBAMA'S VICTORY, BOSSES REPORTEDLY FORCE WORKERS TO GO GALT FOR THEM

You've probably seen this story:
A Las Vegas business owner with 114 employees fired 22 workers today, apparently as a direct result of President Obama's re-election.

"David" (he asked to remain anonymous for obvious reasons) told Host Kevin Wall on 100.5 KXNT that "elections have consequences" and that "at the end of the day, I need to survive." ...
I expressed skepticism at Zandar's place when he linked to this story. Why won't this guy identify himself or his company? Talk radio is known to use fake callers. Also, the details he provides seem conveniently aligned with the election results:
“Well unfortunately, and most of my employees are Hispanic -- I'm not gonna go into what kind of company I have, but I have mostly Hispanic employees -- well unfortunately we know what happened and I can’t wait around anymore, I have to be proactive. I had to lay off 22 people today to make sure that my business is gonna thrive and I'm gonna be around for years to come..."
Translation: You beaners want to give the election to Obama? Especially in Nevada, which used to be rock-ribbed Republican? Well, suck on this mandate.

But there do seem to be a couple of non-anonymous company owners who are spite-firing their workers after the election. For instance:
A Utah coal company owned by a vocal critic of President Barack Obama has laid off 102 miners.

The layoffs at the West Ridge Mine are effective immediately, according to UtahAmerican Energy Inc., a subsidiary of Murray Energy Corp. They were announced in a short statement made public Thursday, two days after Obama won re-election.

The layoffs are necessary because of the president's "war on coal," the statement said. The slogan is one used frequently during the election by Murray Energy CEO Robert Murray, who was an ardent supporter of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney....
Of course, people who talk about the "war on coal" are conducting a war on math -- for better or worse, largely as a result of fracking, natural gas is now much cheaper than coal, so many plants are making the switch from coal.

But businesses will blame Obama -- although only a couple of the companies whose layoffs are reported in this Fox Nation post are actually blaming the administration.

When it suits right-wingers, they actually celebrate layoffs, referring to the layoff process as "creative destruction," a clearing away of inefficiencies. But now the right wants to blame every layoff in America on Obama. (Needless to say, they won't do the same for every business that starts or expands.) And, yes, some of the business owners do hold Obama responsible.

But, um, I thought our job-creating overlords were going to quit themselves if they had to live any longer under Obama's tyranny. I thought they were going to "go Galt."

Instead, what seems to be happening is that they're making workers involuntarily go Galt for them. In every one of the links I've provided, the owners say they're going to stay in business. They're going to keep making money. The anonymous guy in Vegas says he wants to "make sure that my business is gonna thrive and I'm gonna be around for years to come."

You want to go Galt? Shut down your business altogether -- yeah, you'll be laying off workers, but you'll stop making money, too. Have some skin in the game. Live up to your Obama-hating convictions.

But no -- it's just like the crash in '08: workers should do all the financial sacrificing. We have to go Galt in the owners' place.

I wish I had a guillotine manufacturing and sharpening company - I'd rehire all of these workers, and make a feckin' fortune!!!

Now, watch their competitors hire those productive workers, and drive these feckin' idjit's companies into bankruptcy - ALL, Obama's fault, of course.

If I had a device that cut off noses, I'd also make a probable future. I'd advertise it on FOX.

All I need is some investors!
Any takers?

Also too:
Here’s what makes me laugh about rich idiot’s like these morons – I guess they’ve never heard that you attract more flies with sugar, than with vinegar.

Instead of threatening to fire their employees if Obama wins, maybe they’d have gotten a better result if they’d promised people bonuses or raises if Romney won.

But of course, THAT thought never ever even occured to them.

And now, they want revenge.
They HATE it when the Nigrah has the 'whip-hand.'

I don't suppose that they ever think that their competitors might hire their former workers, and kicke their feckin' asses.
But, in their embryo-sized minds, THAT, will be President Obama's fault, too.

Again, further proof that being rich, does NOT equal intelligence!

They ARE, STUPID, AND EVIL!

To the extent that anyone thinks they would get a useful answer from these morons, I'd like to know the answer to this: what changed between Tuesday, when Obama was president;and Wednesday, when Obama was still the president? In other words, what economic policies changed overnight? Aside from the absurd idea that a slight increase in the marginal tax rate will break this guy (I mean, jeebus,no company could possibly survive higher tax rates except for all the major corporations THAT DID), the repubs could wind up winning the tax bill argument. That would pretty much leave these guys standing around with their dicks in their hands.

Wait, what if the workers changed their vote to Romney? They did what their bosses asked and they're still screwed?

Good point.

There is, on the other hand, the dumbshit who wrote to James Fallows saying he would shut down his company (hilarity ensued!).
