THE CONSPIRACY TO KEEP RIGHT-WINGERS HATE-FILLED AND STUPID
This is why I hate Fox and consider it a cancer on the body politic:
This seems innocuous, but if you speak wingnut, you know the implication here (and there's nothing here except implication; there's no story): that yesterday's presidential visit to Ground Zero was, in fact, a "victory lap" and a campaign appearance for Obama, complete with souvenirs from the candidate.
A few commenters grasp the obvious point that these are being sold by vendors who have nothing to do with Obama (just the same way photos of Bush's 2001 World Series pitch are being sold right now a couple of blocks from my office, at the southwest corner of Central Park). But the folks at Fox know that that seemingly obvious point won't be obvious to the dimmest bulbs in the audience:
And it's important to keep those folks hateful and motivated.
