EVERYTHING THEY CAN POSSIBLY THROW AT HIM ALL THE TIME

I may defend Barack Obama more than he deserves, but that's because I can never forget that the people who are trying the hardest to destroy him (and to neutralize genuine progressivism at the same time) don't content themselves with attacks based on genuine policy differences -- they also throw the likes of this:

Remarks of President Obama Marking Nowruz

Today, I want to extend my best wishes to all who are celebrating Nowruz in the United States and around the world....

Now, granted, there's no actual criticism of Obama here. But why bring it up at all on the Fox message board dedicated to eliciting strong emotional reactions? Obviously so you can get the winger juices flowing like this:

America! You have your 13th Imam

****

No further evidence needed. This guy is a muzzie, and is bent on destroying America.

****

We are in serious trouble...Please ALL NATIONAL SECURITY AGENCIES, you have a "mole" at the highest level...

Of course, nowhere does Fox Nation point out that President George W. Bush sent out Nowruz greetings in 2008, 2007, 2006, 2005, 2003, and 2002 (when he sent separate Norwuz messages to Iranians and Afghans). Nowhere is it pointed out that Laura Bush hosted a Norwuz tea with a a traditional Haft Sin table in 2008 in the State Dining Room of the White House, and that in that same year, on the occasion of Norwuz, George W. Bush gave an interview to the Voice of America's Persian News Network that began:

Q Mr. President, let me thank you first on behalf of the Voice of America, on behalf of the Persian News Network for giving us your time. We really appreciate that, sir.

THE PRESIDENT: Thank you.

Q As you know, Mr. President, this is the eve of Nowruz, the Iranian New Year. What is your message to the Iranian people as they face tough economic circumstances and infringement on their freedoms?

THE PRESIDENT: Well, first, Nowruz a tan Mubarak.

("Nowruz a tan Mubarak" means "Happy Norwuz.")

All that matters is that people who hate Obama hate him more, and think he's more dangerous. And this from an outfit that insists it's a news organization and no more.
