TRYING TO REMEMBER WHY HISTORY'S PREVIOUS GREATEST MONSTERS WERE MONSTERS

Wingnuts, I guess there's really no limit to how much money you're wiling to part with to destroy the Antichrist:

Former Nevada state Assemblywoman Sharron Angle (R) raised an eye-popping $14 million between July 1 and Sept. 30 for her challenge to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D), a stunning number that far eclipses the cash-collection totals of other prominent candidates seeking Senate seats next month.

"Sharron Angle produced one of the most successful single quarters of fundraising in the nation's history for a U.S. Senate campaign," said Angle communications director Jarrod Agen. "This is a testament to the hatred of Harry Reid...."

Do you remember feeling this way before, wingnuts? Do you remember hating guys like Jim Wright and Tom Foley and Tom Daschle? Remember how profoundly satisfying it was to bring down these unspeakable monsters?

But can you even remember any specific reasons why you hated these guys? I mean, apart from the fact that they disagreed with you and had power?

Ten, fifteen, twenty years from now, if you beat him, are you even going to recount Harry Reid's horrifying crimes? At that point in the future, when they've got you fiending to take down another Democrat in power and have you persuaded that this new man or woman is history's greatest congressional monster, will you even remember Reid's name?
