Attaturk Shows Us What We've Been Missing:

Best of the Web roundup of responses to the newest level of conservative strategy to retake the high and low cultural ground? Attaturk's "Bible 2.0: Now With More Smiting." The last line should be elevated to the level of "We Are All Mayans Now" and "I Am Aware of All Internet Traditions."

So I'm working on the post for the morning during tonight's Favre-o-palooza and I admit, I'm tapped out on ideas. Well, thank goodness there's always a new ride on the right-wing crazy train.

Conservatives have launched a project to edit the Bible (again...no, again, no again, no this time) to get rid of all that inconvenient forgiveness, charity, and other liberal bullshit.

Seriously, look at the first of ten guidelines for the new and de-secularized Bible:

1. Framework against Liberal Bias: providing a strong framework that enables a thought-for-thought translation without corruption by liberal bias

It'll just be begetting, beholding, enslaving, and smiting.

But my favorite of the ten points is this one which just admits how this decision was made and will be applied:

6. Accept the Logic of Hell...

Oh, shine on you crazy diamonds.
