In other news, new studies show that smoking may lead to lung cancer

Dems, just now informed they have a caucus of 60* in the U.S. Senate and that the Republican minority--with whom it has been "negotiating"--has no interest in any health reform legislation passing, might just "go it alone" afterall.

And as Steve Benen noted yesterday:

Then, logically, there's simply no need for bipartisan talks. Short of Mitch McConnell hanging a banner outside his door reading, "Please stop trying to reach out to us," I don't think it can get any clearer.
