OH, PERFECT

From the gossip pages of the New York Post:

KATURIA D'Amato was annoyed when she boarded a Delta flight from JFK to Seattle yesterday and learned her baby, Alfonso, 7 months old, and the boy's nurse were seated at the other end of first class. The resourceful wife of former Sen. Al D'Amato asked a man if he'd switch seats with her. That man, who politely agreed to switch, turned out to be ABC anchorman Charlie Gibson, on his way to interview Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin. "I hope you take it easy on her," Katuria said....

That would be 42-year-old Katuria D'Amato, wife of 71-year-old former GOP senator Al D'Amato.

Trophy wife defends trophy vice? Perfect.

Oh, and Gibson's answer doesn't exactly inspire confidence in his journalistic mettle:

"On her? I hope she takes it easy on me," Gibson replied.

Eeeek! Eeeek! A hockey mom!
